CCMC is seeking an Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to provide essential emergency and inpatient care in a small, remote Alaska community. This role offers low patient volume, a slower pace, and highly meaningful work within a supportive, mission-driven team. Shifts are home-call with a <20-minute response time. Compensation is shift-based, with no RVU or volume incentives.
Med-Surg Float Registered Nurse
CCMC is looking for a new or experienced nurse to come and serve as a collaborative member of our healthcare team! Ideal candidates will need to thrive both independently and as part of a team of nurses and providers, covering various skilled nursing specialties in a small, rural Alaska Critical Access Hospital. This nurse covers shifts primarily working with inpatients and the rehab team, as well as assisting in long-term care and the emergency department as needed.
Emergency Room Registered Nurse
CCMC is looking for an experienced ER nurse to come and serve as a vital member of our healthcare team! Ideal candidates will need to thrive both independently and as a part of a tight-knit team of nurses and providers. As a part of a small, rural Alaska Critical Access Hospital, qualified RNs assist in stabilizing traumas and medical emergencies for transport to higher levels of care.
Long Term Care Director of Nursing
The Long Term Care Director of Nursing (DON) serves as the Director of Nursing for the LTC unit and is responsible for the completion of the federally required Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and is responsible for the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the resident’s comprehensive plan of care. Uses established work systems and processes to facilitate quality of care and quality of life while ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards of practice. The Long Term Care DON assumes nursing leadership functions within the LTC nursing team. Facilitates effective communication of Residents needs and issues to the interdisciplinary team and fosters positive change, professional/program growth and teamwork.
Occupational Therapist
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. OT is responsible for directing the development, implementation, supervision and ongoing evaluation of the Long Term Care (LTC) activities program. This includes the completion and/or directing/delegating the completion of the activities component of the comprehensive assessment; and contributing to and/or directing/delegating the contribution to the comprehensive care plan goals and approaches that are individualized to match the skills, abilities, and interests/preferences of each resident.
OT will provide recommendations to the restorative nursing program. OT will contribute to and direct/delegate plans to nursing to provide individualized restorative care. OT will administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. OT will assist patients and residents to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Long Term Care RN
The primary purpose of your job position is to be accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients and families, according to the individualized needs of the patient and following the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. You are responsible for the assessment, treatment, and care for patients of all ages including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, as applicable. You must be competent to access and analyze patient information and history with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process. Accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of nursing practice. Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship. Performs all duties in a manner that supports the team concept, collegial, collaborative caring, and respectful, reflecting the philosophy of the Department of Nursing and Cordova Community Medical Center Mission Statement.
Behavioral Health Clinician
The clinician is responsible for direct clinical services in the form of mental health assessment and treatment, substance abuse assessment and counseling, and co-occurring disorders treatment, with diverse clientele to include SED youth and SMI adults in a Community Behavioral Health Clinic. She/he is expected to provide individual, couple, family, and group counseling/therapy. Will work collaboratively with clinical support staff to identify client needs, develop service delivery plans, and oversee delivery of services to clientele. Works with individuals, their families, guardians, physicians, health care professionals and community resources, to provide necessary services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. She/he must assure consistency in his/her clinical service delivery, consumer/staff interaction, and effective and timely documentation. She/he is expected to maintain the highest professional standards.
Radiology Technologist
The primary purpose of your job position is to assume the day to day operations of the Radiology Department in accordance with the current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the medical center Ancillary Director or CEO. Has no supervisory responsibility.
Patient Observer
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, this position requires the ability to have patience and companionship. The position under direct supervision, ensures patient safety under Cordova Community Medical Center (CCMC) care through observation. May assist a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with patient activities of daily living. The Orderly / Patient Technician has no supervising responsibility.
PRN Float Registered Nurse
The PRN Float Registered Nurse position is targeted for local Cordova Registered Nurses who are available to assist CCMC when our patient numbers are high, and be able to respond with a 12 hour notice.
On-Call Psychiatric Clinician
The On-Call Psychiatric Emergency Services Clinician is responsible for providing emergency assessments and recommendations for individuals experiencing mental health crisis outside of regular business hours. Will work collaboratively with Emergency and behavioral health staff to identify client needs, develop service delivery and safety plans, make recommendations for ongoing care and ensure appropriate level of care. Works with individuals, their families, guardians, physicians, health care professionals and community resources, to provide necessary services to stabilize clients. She/he must assure consistency in his/her service delivery, consumer/staff interaction, and effective and timely documentation. She/he is expected to maintain the highest professional standards. The On-Call Psychiatric Emergency Services Clinician has no supervisory responsibilities.
