The Laboratory at Cordova Community Medical Center supplies a wide variety of lab services for outpatient and inpatient need. Located in the hospital, we are equipped to complete many diagnostic tests on-site as well as specimen collection services for tests sent to reference laboratories. We also offer DOT and non-DOT urine drug screen collection services. Below are a few of the tests we provide:
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel – Includes liver and kidney function testing, diabetes screen and electrolytes.
Lipid Panel – The blood’s “fats” cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, (the “bad” cholesterol) and HDL (the “good” cholesterol). This data is used to calculate your cardiac risk factor, or LDL/HDL ratio.
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) – A screening test for thyroid function, important to a variety of metabolic functions in the body.
Glucose – The blood sugar level. A screen for hyperglycemia (high) or hypoglycemia (low) blood sugar level.
Urinalysis – A screening test for metabolic and kidney disorders and urinary tract infections.
Our Laboratory is CLIA certified, which means that we follow the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), or the U.S. federal regulatory standards for clinical Lab testing. These standards are regulated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Emergency laboratory and post-accident drug screen collection services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Routine laboratory and drug screen collection services are available by appointment Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (except for post-accident screens).
Registration is required prior to your visit to the Lab. Please check in at the hospital’s Nurse’s Station desk.
