Substance Abuse Treatment

No matter the level or the intensity of the substance abuse, recovery is possible!

Clinicians at Sound Alternatives offer treatment in both individual and group settings. After a comprehensive assessment, your clinician will develop an individual plan that includes services to assist you and how to proceed towards your goals. Your clinician provides dual diagnosis assessment and treatment to ensure that the alcohol or drug addiction is not a self-medication practice for a mood or emotional disorder.

The substance abuse group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5-6 pm. Through the group process, clients are offered the opportunity to develop needed insight and skills to change their behavior. The group support is a positive influence for people working on recovery. Alsoholism and drug abuse have the tendency to create isolating barriers. Developing friendships and supporting relationships help to eliminate these barriers and introduce ways to cope with addiction.
